Nag Champa history ?
Nag champa rose to prominence on the heels of well known Indian, Sathya Sai Baba- a guru, spiritual leader and philanthropist in the 1940s until his death in 2011. Nag Champa is a fragrance of Indian origin, based on a combination of magnolia (champaca or champak) and sandalwood, or frangipani (plumeria). It is considered to be sacred to the Hindu god Vishnu and is traditionally burned for meditation ceremonies. Nag Champa became popular in modern Western Culture in the 60's and 70's when it was frequently burned at the concerts of Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, and many other musical greats.
YAXCHE Mantra when lighting incense...
As you strike the match, repeat this mantra to yourself or aloud.
With this flame I ignite the fire of my passions, destiny + path.
Within the smoke I will find the peace, clarity + purpose of today + all my days.
I am blessed in this moment + each moment that follows.
