HISTORY OF EARL GREY
The history of how Earl Grey a rich black tea flavoured with oil from the rind of bergamot orange, a fruit mostly grown in Italy got it's name is a bit of mystery. Some believe that Charles Grey (1764-1845) an English aristocrat + Prime Minister is responsible. Some say that when a gift of tea + bergamot oranges were shipped together from diplomats in China, the fruit flavour was absorbed by the tea during shipping. After the Earl tasted the pairing the now well known Earl Grey flavor was created. No matter how it was created we guarentee that after a cup of YAXCHE Moonlight you will thank the Earl profusely.
