History of Chamomile
For a little flower power we love sipping chamomile blossoms on their own or mixed with our other favorite blends. Chamomile tea dates back to Ancient Egypt where it was used to treat fever + as an early natural cosmetic . Romans used chamomile in the true sense of herbal medicine to treat an array of ailments. During Medieval times to add an aromatic scent to public events chamomile was sprinkled on the ground, And in early beer production chamomile was used in the same way hops is used today.
The dainty daisy-like flowers belong to the plant family Asteraceae, which also includes flowers such as sunflowers and marigolds. Chamomile flowers are not just pretty to look at they are pretty powerful little plants. Improve digestion, brighten skin tone + ease a racing mind are just a few of our favorite qualities.
