Nag Champa history ?
Nag champa rose to prominence on the heels of well known Indian, Sathya Sai Baba- a guru, spiritual leader and philanthropist in the 1940s until his death in 2011. Nag Champa is a fragrance of Indian origin, based on a combination of magnolia (champaca or champak) and sandalwood, or frangipani (plumeria). It is considered to be sacred to the Hindu god Vishnu and is traditionally burned for meditation ceremonies. Nag Champa became popular in modern Western Culture in the 60's and 70's when it was frequently burned at concerts of Dylan, The Grateful Dead, and many other musical greats.
