Benefits of white tea ?
White tea has a very interesting long history of intrigue. The youngest leaf with the most delicate taste was very revered in the Song Dynasty in Fujian, China as early as (960-1269), it was not as well known to the rest of the world until very recently. Only royals were allowed to consume white tea and it is rumored that it could only be served as a “tribute” to the emperor by virgins with white gloves as a symbol of honor and respect. Intrigue aside we love white tea for many of its healing benefits. It provides high doses of the amino acid theanine which has powerful calming effects on the nervous system. The antioxidant effects make it a wonderful tea to fight cholesterol, aid in weight loss + give a gentle dose energy.
